Role Specifics: Are you a 2nd stew with a couple of years of experience under your wing looking to step up into your first Chief Stewardess role? Or a Chief Stew seeking a position in the South Pacific? This 3 month contract (with possible continued employment) will have you experiencing the beauty and sometimes remoteness of North Queensland, Australia.

Although this beautiful 40m is a private SY, she is run to the standards of a charter and operates with a crew of 7. The ideal candidate will have a calm happy nature with a can do attitude, be highly organised and possess a keen eye for detail. Your fine dining service skills and meticulous attention to the presentation of the interior will serve you well and ensure you rock the role!

Role Specifics: We are on the search for a deckhand to join a large active deckteam on a 55m private/charter yacht in NZ.

This aventurous explorer yacht prides herself on her ability to offer vast services and experiences off the beaten track. The successful candidate will be both fit, healthy and hardworking and will be an essential part of the deck team on this fast paced yacht.

Your responsibilities will include the day to day maintenance and immaculate presentation of the vessel so an eye for detail is a bonus. You will be involved in watersports, dive trips, fishing trips and other adventures therefore previous experience with, and additional skills such as spearfishing, free diving and other watersports would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will be safety concious, funloving and approachable while being professional at all times with guests and co-workers.

Deckhand/Dive Instructor – Job ID – 55DDI

Requirements: Valid STCW, ENG1 or equivalent, Yacht Masters or PBL2, Dive Instructor qualification.

Role Specifics: The vessel is currently in Tahiti and returning to NZ to complete her refit. She will then be used for private and charter use and is in need of a dedicated passionate Deckhand/Dive Instructor for a 6 month contract.

We are seeking a fit, healthy and hard working Deckhand/Dive Instructor for this dual role. Your primary responsibility is to be part of the hardworking deck team with additional duties as the vessels’ dive instructor. You will be charged to look after and instruct the guests on dive and fishing trips and assisst onboard the 55′ Hatteras Sport fishing boat, therefore experience in a similar role is necessary.

The successful candidate will be professional with great communication skills, be a safe operator and have an adventurous nature. Ideally you will have other skills such as spear fishing, freediving, and other watersports as part of your repertoire as this vessel likes to offer her guests the full package.

Bosun/Chase Boat Captain/Fisherman – Job ID – 55BCF

Vessel: 55m Explorer Motor Yacht – Private and Charter

Start Date: TBC – 6 month contract

Itinerary: New Zealand and TBA

Requirements: Valid STCW, ENG1 or equivalent, Yacht Masters or PBL2, Experienced Fisherman.

Role Specifics: The vessel is currently in Tahiti and is returning to New Zealand to complete her refit. She will then be used for private and charter purposes and is in need of a bosun/chase boat captain/fisherman for a 6 month contract.

The successful candidate will be required to lead the deck team and act as chaseboat captain for the 55′ Hatteras Sport Fishing boat for guests dive and fishing trips. You will require experience in fishing, preferably with knowledge in around NZ waters being a plus. You will be required to maintain and operate the 55’Hatteras as the main operator therefore experience in engineering and navigation is required.

The successful candidate will have previously held a similar role as you will need to hit the ground running. You will be professional and a great team leader, have an adventurous personality along with a ‘safety first’ attitude. Other skills such as spear fishing, free diving and scuba diving would be a bonus along with other tranferable skills.

Chief Stewardess – Job ID – 55CS

Role Specifics:  The vessel is currently in Tahiti and returning to NZ to complete her refit. She will then be used privately and for charter and is need of a professional and experienced Chief Stewardess.

The successful candidate will be requires to have at least 2-3 years experience in a similar role on a similar sized vessel. The role requires someone who is experienced in overseeing a large interior team and you will be tasked with the management of this team in both service and housekeeping. The ideal person will be highly organised with great time managemnt skills, have excellent service skills and have a keen eye for detail.

As the interior team often have other complementary skills such as beauty therapy, massage and/or yoga instruction, you will have demonstrated ability managing timetables for these guest services along with those of the interior to keep everything running semlessly. The yacht is fast paced and the clients are often adventure loving and a similar outlook would be welcomed in this role.

Stewardess/Laundry/Housekeeping – Job ID – 55SLH

Requirements: Valid ENG1 or equivalent ,STCW 10, Sewing skills are a plus

Role Specifics: The vessel is currently in Tahiti and returning to NZ to complete her refit. She will then be used by her owner and for charter and is in need of an epic Stewardess for Laundry/Housekeeping.

If the smell of fresh laundry and crisp crinkle free fabric floats your boat this is the position for you! Whilst maintaining the immaculate presentation of this yacht as a junior member of the housekeeping team, part of your primary responsibility will be to mangae the yachts laundry facilities and complete all laundry on board this busy fast paced yacht.

You will look after the laundry needs of the guests and crew including washing, ironing, folding and stain removal. The correct storage of linen and maintenance of crew uniforms will be overseen by yourself and you will be an organisational superstar, who is self motivated and energetic and possess a positve sunshiny attitude in this demanding and often stressful position. Sewing skills are a bonus in this role.

Prior experience in a similar role is preferable.

3rd Stewardess/Junior Stew – Job ID – 55SJS

Role Specifics: We are looking for a diverse and enthusiastic 3rd Stewardess/junior stewardess to join a 55m private/charter M/Y when she arrives in New Zealand. You will be part of a team of stewardesses, so this position offers a great opportunity to learn and be part of a large interior team.

This explorer yacht prides itself on having crew with skills allowing them to meet all their guests’ wants and needs onboard; this includes 6 star service and adventures. Additional skills and qualifications such as beauty, massage, yoga, diving, or PBL2 for example are welcomed and those with these types of skills are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanour, take direction well, and work hard to be a fully functioning member of the team. In the role as a stewardess you will be part of the housekeeping and service team therefore previous experience in a similar role, or experience in hospitality, housekeeping and /or customer service would be beneficial.

CHEF – Job ID – 55HC

Role Specifics:Sole Chef required for a predominantly off the grid private/charter M/Y in New Zealand, this 55m explorer vessel prides itself in being able to provide 6 star service, food and experiences no matter where in the world they are!

The ideal candidate will have a least 2-3 years proven experience working on a vessel of a similar size and in a similar position. In addition, you will have proven shorebased experience in high end restaurants or hotels.

Your passion and creative flair for, and with food, will be what sets you apart from others and your amazing planning and organisational skills will ensure you run a successful galley on this adventurous yacht. You will be a menu planning masestro, provisioning guru, maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards and possess great administration skills to be successful in this role.

During charter, the vessel may have up to 12 guests and run with crew of 16 so being able to manage dietarty requirements and requests while showing you rpassion and to remain calmand professional at all times will serve you well. You will be assisted by a crew cook/stew in the galley during this time.
